Fruit Merge privacy policy
Last updated October 21, 2026
Effective 21 October 2026. This policy covers the game Fruit Merge: Watermelon Drop (com.gurmegames.fruitmerge), published by Gurmehub under the Tudi Apps brand. Our general privacy policy covers the website and our other apps.
In short: Fruit Merge has no sign-up. Your progress is saved on your phone. If you use Google Play Games, your scores, achievements and a backup of your progress go to your Google account. The game shows ads through Google AdMob and sells optional Leaves packs, a starter pack and ad removal through Google Play. We collect gameplay statistics and crash reports to balance the game and fix bugs; you can turn them off in Settings. We never sell your data.
What the game collects
- Game progress, on your device: best scores, level stars, Leaves, power-ups, themes, daily quests and streaks, settings and an unfinished round. It stays on your phone.
- Google Play Games (optional): when you are signed in to Play Games, the game sends your scores to the Classic and Daily leaderboards, unlocks achievements and saves a copy of your progress as a Play Games saved game in your Google account, so you can continue on another phone. Your Play Games profile is managed by Google.
- Gameplay events: for example “round started/ended” with mode, score and duration, level results, power-ups used, rewarded ads watched, offers shown, the outcome of purchases, whether reminder notifications are allowed and opened. They go to Firebase Analytics, which adds an app instance ID, device model, OS version, language and approximate country (from the IP address). The same events also go to our own analytics server together with a random install ID created by the game (not your advertising ID), the app version, language and a country code derived from the connection (the IP address itself is not stored).
- Crash and error reports: if the game crashes, freezes or hits a programming error, a report with the error details, device model, graphics chip, OS version, language, time zone and app version is sent to our own crash-reporting server together with the random install ID.
- Ads: Google AdMob collects your device’s advertising ID, IP address and device information to show ads, measure them and prevent fraud.
- Purchases: Google Play handles payment. The game only receives a purchase confirmation; we never see your card details.
The game does not ask for your location, contacts, camera, microphone or files, and has no chat. It uses vibration and local reminder notifications that are scheduled on your phone (both can be turned off in Settings) and the internet connection for ads, purchases, Play Games, analytics and crash reports. Challenge a friend copies a short code to your clipboard; the game reads the clipboard only when you tap Challenge to paste a friend’s code.
What leaves the phone, and where
| What | Where to | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Scores, achievements, saved game (only if you use Play Games) | Google Play Games services (Google LLC) | Leaderboards, achievements and cloud save |
| Gameplay events, app instance ID, device and language details | Firebase Analytics (Google LLC) | To see which parts of the game are hard or unused and to balance it |
| Gameplay events with a random install ID, app version, language and country code | Our analytics server, run on Cloudflare (Cloudflare, Inc.) | Retention and difficulty statistics to improve the game |
| Crash and error reports with device, OS and app version and the random install ID | Our crash-reporting server (Sentry, self-hosted by Gurmehub) | To find and fix bugs |
| Advertising ID, IP address, device information | Google AdMob (Google LLC) | To show ads, measure them and prevent fraud |
| Purchase confirmation | Google Play (Google LLC) | To deliver Leaves, the starter pack and ad removal |
| Occasionally, a request to show the rating window | Google Play (Google LLC) | To ask for a rating after a good moment. Your rating goes to Google Play, not to us |
Our own analytics and crash-reporting servers never receive your name, email address, advertising ID or Google account. Turning off Settings → Usage statistics stops gameplay events (ours and Firebase’s) and crash reports, and deletes events that were not sent yet.
Ads and consent
There are no ads while you play and none in your first rounds. After that a full-screen ad may appear between rounds, at most every third round. Rewarded video ads are always optional: they give a second chance, an extra undo, five more drops in a level, double Leaves or a free Leaves bonus. A one-time purchase removes the full-screen ads; rewarded ads stay optional. Ads are limited to content suitable for general audiences.
In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, Google’s consent form asks you first: you can consent, decline or choose purposes, and you can change your choice later in Settings → Privacy options. With your consent ads may be personalised, and our own analytics and crash reports are collected; without consent to storing information on your device and measuring content performance, Google shows non-personalised ads and our own analytics and crash reports stay off. You can reset or delete your advertising ID in your phone’s settings (on Android: Settings → Google → Ads).
How long we keep data
Firebase Analytics keeps event data for up to 14 months, our analytics server keeps raw events for 180 days, and crash reports are kept for up to 90 days. Play Games data stays in your Google account until you delete it there.
Deleting your data
Fruit Merge has no account. To delete the analytics events and crash reports stored under your install ID:
- Open the game, tap the gear icon and note the Player code at the bottom of Settings.
- Email [email protected] with the subject “Fruit Merge data deletion” and that code.
- Within 30 days we delete the events and crash reports stored under that install ID and confirm by email.
Progress saved on your phone is deleted when you uninstall the game. Play Games scores, achievements and saved games can be deleted in the Google Play Games app or your Google account. Aggregated statistics that no longer identify you are kept; Google keeps the data it collects as an independent controller (AdMob, Google Play, Play Games) under its own policies.
Children
Fruit Merge is a family-friendly puzzle game, but it is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (including under the GDPR and KVKK), you can ask to access, correct, export or delete your data, and you can withdraw consent at any time. Write to [email protected].
Changes
When this policy changes we update this page and the date at the top.
